Our Stitch Club runs on a Tuesday or Thursday after school, 4-6pm for age 7+.
This booking is for Thursday throughout the Spring term, from Easter until May half term. The first session starting back on Thursday 18th April 2024 for a 6 week term block until Thursday23rd May 2024, inclusive.
What does Stitch Club involve?
Stitch club teaches children how to sew and use a sewing machine.
We may do hand sewing from time to time but the majority of the sessions will involve using a machine.
Sewing machines are provided, as is all equipment but we do require you to bring in your own materials for your sewing projects. If your child has a sewing machine, we suggest bringing it with them, so they can learn on their own sewing machine.
Each term the children will undertake a new sewing project, this will vary from home interiors to dressmaking projects. Some will be short projects and others will take a full term to complete. The children will take home everything they make.
How does the sewing club work?
Any children age 7+ can attend. They do not need a parent/guardian to supervise them. A parent/guardian is welcome to stay for the session/s if they feel necessary but they are not expected to.
Our craft tutor is fully insured, first aid qualified and DBS checked. She can provide copies of this should you require them.
Minimum/maximum numbers to Stitch Club
WE ARE CURRENTLY FULLY BOOKED on our Thursday club, with a waiting list. Please DO NOT book a space on this club, unless you have had prior permission to do so.
If you are interested in joining our waiting list please contact emma@pomstitchtassel.com. We run a Stitch Club on a Tuesday after school which has spaces come up more regularly.
Please note we do ask all new attendees joining the sewing club to undertake our beginners sewing workshop or a minimum of an hour one to one sewing lesson, in order to teach them the basics of using a sewing machine before they start.
Both sewing workshop and lessons will be chargeable.
Finer details
Where possible please arrive five minutes prior to Stitch Club starting. Parents and guardians can drop off and then come back at pick-up time.
All of our clubs take place at 53 Fore Street, Bovey Tracey, Devon, TQ139AB.
