Stitch Club Tuesday session (after school sewing club) Term Block

£105.00

Our Stitch Club runs on a Tuesday after school, 4-6pm for age 7+.

This booking is for the Summer Term, with our first session back after May half term on Tuesday 6th June 2023 and includes 13th, 20th & 27th June & 4th, 11th & 18th July (7 week term block).

What does the club involve?

The club teaches children how to sew using a sewing machine.  We may do hand sewing from time to time but the majority of the sessions will involve using a machine. Sewing machines are provided, as is all equipment and most materials (except on larger projects - see below).  If your child has a sewing machine, we do suggest them bringing it with them if possible so they can learn on their own machine.

Each term we undertake a new sewing project, this will vary from home interiors to dressmaking projects, some will be short projects and others will take a full term to complete.  The children will of course take home everything they make.

For larger projects we may ask you to source the fabric (so that is is suitable for your child), if this is the case we will let you know within plenty of time and advise you of what you will need beforehand.

How does the club work?

We ask for children age 7+ to attend, as they can come without the need for a parent/guardian to supervise. A parent/guardian is welcome to stay for the session/s if they feel necessary but they are not expected to. Our craft tutor is fully insured, first aid qualified and DBS checked and can provide copies of the same should you require them.
