Join us over October half term for a spooky beginner's sewing workshop on Wednesday 30th October 2024, 10am - 12pm.
Learn the basics of how to use and set up a sewing machine and then create a fabric bat cushion to take home. This workshop is suitable of age 7+ with no sewing experience.
Sewing machines and equipment are provided for this workshop. Unfortunately we do not provide materials for sewing workshops. Please ensure your child brings with them 1/2 metre of cotton fabric, a 1/2 metre of wadding/cotton batting (for the wings) & 200g bag of stuffing for their bat cushion.
Parents Staying:
We are a fully DBS checked and insured company, therefore a parent/guardian isn't required to stay with their child.
We are limited on space in our workshop room so if you would like to stay with your child, please also book a workshop ticket.
Additional Extras:
We are now offering brand loyalty cards, book 9 workshops and get the 10th one free. You will be provided with a stamped card on your first workshop.
Emergency Contact Details:
After booking, we will e-mail you a request to fill out a workshop form (please note this is not automatic). We ask for these details for emergency contact details, knowledge of any medical conditions and/or allergies, as well as permission to take photographs of your child, purely for marketing purposes.
Once you have filled out this form, you will not need to fill it out again unless your details change. Please notify us directly if your details do change.
Location:
All workshops take place at 53 Fore Street, Bovey Tracey, TQ139AB.
Where possible please arrive five minutes before the workshop starts promptly at pick-up.
Minimum & maximum numbers:
Where possible we always endeavour to run our workshops but sometimes it is not cost effective to do so. We therefore ask for a minimum of 3 attendees booked onto our sewing workshops in order for it to go ahead. Our maximum number for sewing workshops is now 8 attendees per session.
If a workshop is fully booked and you would be interested in joining us, please do contact us, if we have enough interest we will do our best to offer an alternative workshop date or time.
This workshop is suitable for age 7+.
Cancellation Policy:
Please note we do not offer cancellations on our workshops this is due to us requiring minimum numbers in order to run.
We only offer refunds in circumstances where Pom Stitch Tassel has to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
