Join us over the Easter Holidays for our Sewing Club suitable for children age 7+.
Your child will learn how to use a sewing machine from scratch and create one or two wonderful projects; a drawstring bunny bag & a chicken softie/doorstop. Your child will learn skills such as; how to set up and use a sewing machine, how to create seams and follow a seam allowance, how to follow curves and how to hand sew on a button.

Both are Beginners Sewing Workshop: Create a Drawstring Bunny Bag
You will need Fabric 1 (outer of the bag & bunny ears) 1 metre of cotton based fabric that is 45" wide. Fabric 2 (lining fabric of the bunny ears) 40cm of cotton based fabric that is 45" wide. You will also need 2.5 metres of drawstring cord for the bag which is 1-2cm thick.

Next Step Sewing Workshop: Create a Chicken softie/doorstop
You must have completed a beginners workshop before attending
You will need Fabric 1 (main body of the chicken) 1/2 metre of cotton based fabric that is 45" wide. Fabric 2 (wings & gusset) 40cm of cotton based fabric that is 45" wide. You will also need a 15x35cm piece of felt, two buttons for eyes & a bag of 500g toy stuffing.
Sewing machines and equipment are provided for this workshop. We do not provide material for sewing workshops. Please see material requirements above.
Parents Staying:
We are a fully DBS checked and insured company, therefore a parent/guardian isn't required to stay with their child.
We are limited on space in our workshop room so if you would like to stay with your child, please also book a workshop ticket.

After booking, we will e-mail you a request to fill out a workshop form. Please note this is not automatic and will be e-mailed a week before workshops.
If you have already filled out a workshop form, you will not need to fill out another one unless your details have changed. Please notify us directly if your details do change.
Location:
All workshops take place at 53 Fore Street, Bovey Tracey, TQ139AB.
Where possible please arrive five minutes before the workshop starts and promptly at pick-up.
Minimum & maximum numbers:
Where possible we always endeavour to run our workshops but sometimes it is not cost effective to do so. We therefore ask for a minimum of 3 attendees booked onto our sewing clubs in order for it to go ahead. Our maximum number for sewing clubs is now 8 attendees per session.
If a workshop is fully booked and you would be interested in joining us, please do contact us, if we have enough interest we will do our best to offer an alternative workshop date or time.
This workshop is suitable for age 7+.
Cancellation Policy:
Please note we do not offer cancellations on our workshops this is due to us requiring minimum numbers in order to run.
We only offer refunds in circumstances where Pom Stitch Tassel has to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
