5 fun things to do in Bovey Tracey this Easter
It’s nearly that time of year again, the Easter holidays are looming and there is that question on everyone’s mind… what are we going to do to entertain the children for the next two weeks?

Not only are Pom Stitch Tassel running TWO awesome crafty workshops this Easter holidays, we have also prepared an entire blog dedicated to what else is happening, locally here in Bovey Tracey - YAY! So let’s get started…
- Easter Craft Workshops with Pom Stitch Tassel
Join Pom Stitch Tassel this Easter for two crafty workshops in the heart of Bovey Tracey.
Spring chickens. age 5+ and above can come along to our craft studio and create a Pom Pom Bunny Garland on Wednesday 13th April 10am – 12pm and/or a Pom Pom Spring Wreath on Wednesday 20th April 10am – 12pm.
Drop your little ones off and enjoy 2 hours of peace and quiet whilst we keep them entertained. We are fully insured and DBS checked so you know your children are safe with us.
Come back to collect at mid-day, your easter bunnies will have had a lovely time crafting with us and will take home what they make.
Or if you’d rather join in the crafty fun too, then you’re more then welcome to do so. Our workshops are for ages 5+ and we welcome makers big or small to our studio.

- Easter Egg Hunt at House of Marbles
The Easter Egg Hunt at House of Marbles is back!
Follow the clues to find the secret word, and enter the prize draw to win an awesome Easter hamper.
The Easter Egg Hunt is free to enter, and there will be a small prize for every child!
Visit the House of Marbles, Bovey Tracey on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Monday 18th April to take part between 9am – 5pm.

- Easter Trail at Canonteign Falls
Head to Canonteign Falls between 8th – 24th April to take part in their Easter Egg Trail with a prize running throughout the holidays.
Discover the highest waterfalls in the South West as well as 90 acres to explore. They have adventure playground, trampolines and a lakeside café where you can enjoy their brand new Easter menu.
Plus meet and greet Belle the Shetland pony on Thursday 14th & Thursday 21st April from 10am – 2pm.
Canonteign Falls are open 7 days a week 10am – 5pm.

- Easter Egg Hunt on the Farm at Ullacombe Farm
Join Ullacombe Farm on Tuesday 12th April & Sunday 17th April 10am – 4pm for their Easter Egg Hunt on the Farm.
Find clues dotted around the farm, amongst haybales and cute cuddly animals to be rewarded with Egg-citing Easter Treasure!
Pre-booking is essential, with all ages welcome (that’s right – even us big kids).

- Easter Trail at Stover Country Park
After all those chocolate eggs, we’re bound to need a walk right?! So why not head to Stover Country Park where you can combine a walk with Easter fun for the kids.
As you head around the lake you will find hidden letters - unscramble them to make a word and win an Easter egg!
They will also be running a cake stall if you fancy staying for a picnic.

Don’t forget Bovey Tracey has a beautiful high street with a plethora of independent shops too. From the bottom of the high street you have the wonderful Make South West for handmade craft & Grace Favour & Home for your gift ideas. Right the way up to the top of the high street with Home Naturally for stunning interiors & Bovey Paradiso art gallery. This list is by no means exhaustive, there are plenty of wonderful independent shops in between for you to to explore.
If you need a tasty bite to eat or somewhere to put your feet up and relax with a coffee, we have a number of lovely coffee houses, to name a few Café 360, Café 64 or Home Farm Café in Parke.
