Stitch Club Friday session (after school sewing club) Term Block 1 SPACE AVAILABLE
Our third Stitch Club session takes place every Friday after school 4-6pm.
This block is bookable for the Summer Term, returning back Easter Holidays on Friday 21st April. This term block is for 6 weeks and also includes the following dates; 28th April, 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th May.
Please note Stitch Club is only suitable for age 7-17. Your child will need to be 7 before starting. This is due to the fact we operate electric sewing machines.
We have two spaces available on our Friday session from Spring term. If you would like to join us please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What does the club involve?
The club teaches children how to sew using a sewing machine. We may do hand sewing from time to time but the majority of the sessions will involve using a machine. Sewing machines are provided, as is all equipment and most materials (except on larger projects - see below). If your child has a sewing machine, we do suggest them bringing it with them if possible so they can learn on their own machine.
Each term we undertake a new sewing project, this will vary from home interiors to dressmaking projects, some will be short projects and others will take a full term to complete. The children will of course take home everything they make.
For all projects going forwards we will ask you to source the materials. We will let you know in plenty of time what you will need before the session.
Sewing machines, equipment, thread and some other haberdashary items are provided within the cost. If your child has a sewing machine where possible, we do recommend that they bring it in and learn on it.
How does the club work?
We ask for children age 7+ to attend, as they can come without the need for a parent/guardian to supervise. A parent/guardian is welcome to stay for the session/s if they feel necessary but they are not expected to. Our craft tutor is fully insured, first aid qualified and DBS checked and can provide copies of the same should you require them.
We have two spaces available from the Spring Term on this session, please contact email@example.com or simply book the term block to reserve your child/ren's space.
Where possible please arrive five minutes before the club starts to drop your child/children off and then please arrive prompt at pick-up. Please wait outside the venue door and I will pop down and open the door up.
Our clubs take place at our studio premises in Bovey Tracey; Studio 2, 83 Fore Street, TQ13 9AB. We are in the old King of Prussia / new Bovey Paradiso building.
Should you need to contact us for any reason please call us on 07864009316.
Please ensure your child brings a drinks bottle with them and a snack if you wish.
It goes without saying if your child tests positive for Covid-19 or has been with someone that has tested positive, please don't attend the session. Please contact us to arrange a suitable alternative.
